1 Deal with the devil

1. –Email – From Supervisor: Welcome to Cappella Corporation Bio Development division.  Our remote biometric scanning and evaluation technology has revealed you as suitable candidate for this position.  Through the use of the ARMAC (Automated Remote Management and Control) interface you will be able manipulate every aspect of your division while retaining the level of anonymity required for all of our external consultants.  Fortunately, a vacancy has recently opened up in this division at the Agrippa research facility.  The Agrippa research facility was built following the cold war for the analysis and development of biological weapons.  The previous executive in charge of the facility failed to live up to expectations and so we where forced to invoke the immediate termination clause in her contract.  We have much higher expectations for you however.  Restart the research program at the Agrippa research facility and have it operating in the black by the end of the first finical quarter or you will suffer the same fate as the previous manager.
2. – News Article – Dr Fredrik Ubermahn has publicly announced to discontinue his Nobel Prize winning work on selective gene manipulation due to possible ethical implications.
3. – Email – From Supervisor:   It has been a month since you where placed in charge of the Agrippa research facility and you thus far failed to achieve any significant finical returns.  I am greatly disappointed with your performance and am beginning to wonder if you are capable of the position granted to you.  You have two more months to start showing a profit or we will invoke the immediate termination clause in your contract.
4. - Email – From Dr Ubermahn: My sources have informed me that you have recently taken control of a research facility in dire finical straits and it seems to me that we can be of use to each other.  I am in need of discreet facility and partner willing to pursue my research and test my theories, and you are in desperate need of cash.  I am willing to transfer $1,000,000 to you in 4 instalments if you are willing to begin development of substance I call compound U. I’m sure you can see the value in this relationship and I look forward to seeing the results of your work.
5. – Message – From Supervisor:  Your inability to return a profit at the end of the fincial quarter is of grave disappoint to us.  You are clearly of no further use to this company and we have decided to invoke the immediate termination clause in your contract. - Game Over ( loss condition that applies to the end of each fiscal period )

2 The White Paper

1. - Email – From Dr, Ubermahn: The results of the research into compound U are very promising, and exceed my initial expectations.  However my own analysis has revealed that a crucial factor is still missing without which the compound will never be suitable for my needs. To this end I require some additional data in order to uncover the missing factor.  I want you to acquire the International Cancer Research Organization’s database I am not interested in how you retrieve it as long as you retrieve the whole thing. In exchange for that data I am will to give you exclusive rights to develop any theories that arise from my analysis of the data.
2.  - News Article - Yesterday the ICRO’s primary research facility was the victim of an apparent terrorist attack that resulted in the destruction of hundreds of gigabytes of vital cancer research. A spokesman for the organization has announced that this attack has set the search for a cure for cancer back at least 10 years. The Department of Domestic Security and the United Technological Regulatory Commission have both launched immediate investigations into the incident.
3. - News Article – The United Technological Regulatory Commission announced today that they would look into allegations that someone attempted to gain access to the ICRO’s confidential cancer research database.
4. - Email – From Dr Ubermahn: Thank you very much for the data, with this I will be able to continue my work on selective gene manipulation and unlocking the missing factor of compound U. I will transmit the results of my analysis of the data once I finished my preliminary work.
5.  - Email – From Dr Ubermahn: I believe I have finally unlocked the missing factor in compound U, the key was far more simplistic then I had imagined.  I have compiled the results in to a new theory I call the Ubermahn Serum.  I suggest you begin work on it immediately if my theory is correct this will lead to whole new field in biological research.
6.  -  Urgent Report – Head Scientist: Sir/Ma’am,   A dangerous situation has arisen one of the research subjects has undergone an unexpected metamorphosis and escaped.  The subject seemed to go through a series of convulsions followed by   sudden spontaneous of eruption of muscle growth in various parts of its body.  Before we could restrain the subject it was seized by some form of dementia and began lashing out randomly at anyone nearby.  Several people where killed before the subject escaped.   Retrieving it must be our top priority. I can not over state the danger it presents on the loose, or how important it is for us to understand the nature of mutations the subject has undergone.  Next Chapter = Patient Zero
7. – Urgent Research Report – Sir/Ma’am, We have an emergency in one of the research subjects has undergone an unexpected metamorphosis and escaped.  The subject seemed to go through a series of convulsions followed by sudden spontaneous of eruption of muscle growth in various parts of its body.  Before we could restrain the subject it was seized by some form of dementia and began lashing out randomly at anyone nearby.   The subject is currently tearing apart the laboratory and attacking anyone in nearby.  It must be contained at all costs. I can not over state the danger it presents at the moment, nor how important it is for us to understand the nature of mutations the subject underwent.  Next Chapter = Containment Breach.

3 Containment Breach

1. - Security Report – The subject possessed immense strength and resilience, and our weapons had little effect on it. I strongly advise the procurement of superior small arms and internal defences. As we are clearly not equipped to handle such creatures and at our current level facility security cannot be assured.
2. - Research Report - We have begun analyzing the corpse and the preliminary findings are remarkable. The subject had begun to undergo numerous physical mutations at the time of its death.  Those mutations include abnormal bone growth, rapid accumulation of muscle mass and unusual cancerous growths throughout its body.  We can only being to speculate at the possible research potential further study of this body and the process that created it could generate.  However I find it strange that Dr. Ubermahn was not aware of this potential side effects of the serum we where developing for him. 3. – Urgent Security Report – Sir/ Ma’am I must report that we where unable to contain the creature within the confines of this facility.  It managed to break through every security measure we had in place and my men where barely able to slow it down.  Whatever that creature was it is incredibly dangerous and now at large.  I highly recommend you begin acquire superior ordinance and begin upgrading facility security measures.  Since at our current level we simply unable to deal with such creatures. 4 Patient Zero

1. - Security Report – Monitoring teams have reported that one of the experimental subject’s seems to have gone insane and escaped.  The subject appears to have developed immense physical strength and resilience however it is suffering from demised mental capacity and numerous skin lesions.
2. - News Article – Maniac on the loose. There were a series of grisly murders last night and according to police reports the suspect suffers for severe physical deformities and is considered extremely dangerous.  People are advised not to approach this individual and any sightings should be reported immediately to your local police department.
3. - Email – From Supervisor: We are greatly disturbed by recent reports of your managerial ineptitude, which allowed this specimen to escape.  Recover the specimen immediately before the authorities do.  Be assured that either Patient Zero’s body or yours will be up for dissection when this situation is resolved.

5. - News Article – A heavily armed commando Team managed to bring down the deformed mad man who has been terrorizing the local area. The government however has denied all knowledge of the military force that captured the man. And merely stated that they are looking into the incident. Next chapter = Whisper in the wind
6. - News Article – There have been increased sightings of the deformed killer and more people have fallen victim to this grisly murderer.  A government spokesman announced today that they are turning the matter over to the department of Domestic Security to in order to coordinate the apprehension of this dangerous criminal.

8. - News Article – A heavily armed commando Team managed to bring down the deformed mad man who has been terrorizing the local area. 9. - News Article – People can once again feel at ease, after a late night ride by agents from the Department of Domestic Security succeeded in subduing the savage murderer responsible for so many deaths over the past few weeks.  The killer is being held in an undisclosed location awaiting a full investigation into the matter.
10.  -  Email – From Supervisor – Recent developments concerning Patient Zero are unacceptable we want that body. You must recover it at all costs.
11. - News Article - Terrorist attack on government holding facility. The body of the deformed mass murderer was taken in a daring dawn raid on the government holding facility where it was being held.  Spokesmen for the Department of Domestic Security announced that the deformed man had in fact been the victim of advanced medical experimentation and that they believe the two cases to be related.
12. - News Article – The world council decided unanimously to authorize the creation of the Special Operations branch of the United Technological Regulatory Commission. The special branch would serve to stem the tide of immoral and illegal research being committed around the globe and have the military support necessary to eliminate potential threats and abominations.
